Germany Scholarship
The Germany Scholarship supports students who not only impress with an outstanding performance in their studies, but are also socially committed or have special life or educational paths. The unique thing about this scholarship is that half of the income-independent funding is paid by the federal government, but the other half is paid by private donors or companies. The LÄPPLE Group will be one of these for the next four semesters.

The unique thing about this scholarship is that half of the income-independent funding is paid by the federal government, but the other half is paid by private donors or companies. Benjamin Wacker, Senior HR Business Partner for Personnel Development in the LÄPPLE Group: "We are very pleased to be able to support students at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences with a scholarship in the coming semesters. As a family-owned group of companies with several locations in the region, which itself offers a wide range of training and further education opportunities, it is particularly important to us to promote students in the region. Due to our technical background – from forming and body technology as well as automation plant, machine and tool construction – the four scholarship holders supported by us were selected according to precisely this orientation. In addition to their performance, social commitment in their free time or at the university was also important to us."
The universities play a major role both in the awarding and in the processing of the Germany Scholarship. Students apply directly to their university, which makes the selection decision on the one hand, and also establishes contacts with sponsors and handles the payment of the scholarship on the other. The scholarship recipients receive 300 euros per month for at least two semesters, which allows them to successfully concentrate on their studies. Depending on the duration of the programme, the scholarships can either be extended or re-awarded after two semesters.
The scholarship holders of the LÄPPLE Group are made up of Bachelor's and Master's students from the fields of Mechatronics and Robotics, Electrical Engineering and Business Informatics.
On 30.11.2023, the scholarship certificate was handed over to the students as part of the award ceremony at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences. Wacker reports: "It was great to get to know our four scholarship recipients personally at the celebration and to present them with the certificate. This direct contact is very important to us. The exchange with other sponsors and the representatives of the university was also very interesting."
The Germany Scholarship has developed into an important form of support. In 2022, over 30,000 scholarships were awarded. The LÄPPLE Group is proud to be a part of it.
